Currently, it offers the largest HD channels package on the territory of Russia and has the largest base of HD subscribers. In the European part of Russia Platforma HD is available on Eurobird 9А satellite both for private subscribers (DTH) and for cable operators interested in retransmission of the channels.
Besides, Platforma HD offers its DTH subscribers SD channels package of premium quality called Platforma DV. The Platforma DV comprises 23 TV channels, including all main federal channels. The compression format MPEG 4 and a high speed of data transfer for a channel contributed greatly to the improved quality of broadcasting. In February 2010, at the International professional exhibition CSTB 2010 Platforma HD and its technological partners, namely, General Satellite and Samsung Electronics, announced they got to work over the first 3D television project in Russia. The 3D channel is currently at a preparatory stage.
